I was headed into the park to play with my brand new toy, a Canon Rebel XS this afternoon, when I drove past something that I drive past twice every day. There was one subtle difference this time: I had a camera, so I got out, and took a picture of me and my new friend.

So you went for the Rebel XS then? Man, you really wanted that manual focus, didn't you?
Eh, looked at the others a little longer, played with them in the store, talked to someone else I know who does semi-professional photography, and had a bit of a chat w/ the Best Buy sales guy. Ended up deciding on that.
